WinBridgeAgent MCP Server
io.github.codyard/winbridgeagent
Open-source Windows MCP server for AI assistants with file, clipboard, screenshot, process, and power management.
What is the WinBridgeAgent MCP server?
WinBridgeAgent is an open-source Windows MCP server that implements the Model Context Protocol standard, providing AI assistants like Claude Desktop and OpenAI with traceable access to Windows system operations. It enables file management, clipboard access, screenshots, process control, and power management through a local HTTP API and MCP-compatible interface.
WinBridgeAgent bridges Windows system capabilities to AI assistants via the Model Context Protocol. It runs as a local tray application on Windows 10/11 and exposes tools for file operations, clipboard management, window/process control, screenshots, and system power actions. Use it to give Claude, Cursor, or other MCP clients direct access to your Windows machine's resources with audit logging and permission guards.
How to install WinBridgeAgent
Copy-paste configuration for popular MCP clients.
No machine-readable install method is published for this server in the registry. Check the repository or website for setup instructions.

WinBridgeAgent MCP server FAQ
WinBridgeAgent is an open-source Windows MCP server that gives AI assistants like Claude Desktop and Cursor direct access to Windows system capabilities including file operations, clipboard, screenshots, process management, and power control.
Yes, WinBridgeAgent is open-source and free. An optional Pro edition is also available as a free download with enhanced media and automation capabilities.
Download the latest release from GitHub, run the .exe file, then edit your claude_desktop_config.json to add the server URL (http://<windows-ip>:35182) with HTTP transport.
Go to Settings → MCP, click Add new MCP server, set Name to 'winbridgeagent', Type to 'http', and URL to 'http://<windows-ip>:35182'.
The open-source edition requires no Bearer Token authentication. All API endpoints are directly accessible. Use 127.0.0.1 for local-only access or 0.0.0.0 for LAN access.
WinBridgeAgent runs on Windows 10/11 (x64, x86, ARM64) with no additional runtime dependencies. It listens on port 35182 by default.

WinBridgeAgent
WinBridgeAgent is an open-source Windows local capability service that implements the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard, providing traceable Windows system operations for AI assistants such as Claude Desktop, OpenAI, etc.
WinBridgeAgent Pro (Free Download)
In addition to the open-source edition, WinBridgeAgent Pro is now available as a free download.
The Pro edition is designed for users who need a more complete Windows Agent/Node experience, with ongoing improvements toward a more production-ready Windows node (closer to the OpenClaw Node experience).
Key enhancement areas (ongoing) include:
- Stronger media capabilities: camera photo/video capture and screen recording
- Deeper system integration: notifications, location, audio, and related OS features
- More powerful automation: expanded shell command execution with permission/safety controls
- Better production readiness: timeout handling, resource cleanup, error handling, and stability work
