Crypto Tools Registry MCP Server
io.github.nirholas/crypto-tools-registry
Central registry API for discovering and managing 800+ crypto, DeFi, and blockchain MCP tools with trust scoring.
What is the Crypto Tools Registry MCP server?
The Crypto Tools Registry MCP server is a discovery and metadata service for the Lyra ecosystem that catalogs 800+ cryptocurrency, DeFi, and blockchain tools. It provides full-text search, trust scoring via the SperaxOS algorithm, trending analysis, and integration capabilities for MCP tool discovery and evaluation.
This server acts as a searchable registry for crypto and DeFi tools in the Lyra ecosystem. It enables AI agents to discover tools by category, blockchain, protocol, and trust grade; track trending tools; and submit new tools for review. The registry uses a standardized trust-scoring algorithm to grade tools and supports filtering by API key requirements, tags, and other metadata.
How to install Crypto Tools Registry
Copy-paste configuration for popular MCP clients.
No machine-readable install method is published for this server in the registry. Check the repository or website for setup instructions.

Crypto Tools Registry MCP server FAQ
It's a discovery and metadata API for 800+ crypto, DeFi, and blockchain tools in the Lyra ecosystem. It provides search, filtering, trust scoring, and trending analysis to help AI agents find and evaluate tools.
Yes, the registry is free to use. The public demo deployment is currently offline during hosting migration, but you can run it locally or access it via the HTTP endpoint at https://modelcontextprotocol.name/mcp/lyra-registry.
Add the HTTP endpoint to your MCP client configuration: {"type": "http", "url": "https://modelcontextprotocol.name/mcp/lyra-registry"} or run it locally after cloning the repository and setting up PostgreSQL.
The public HTTP endpoint requires no authentication. For local deployment, you need a PostgreSQL database (Neon or Supabase free tier works).
Three main tools: search_mcp_ecosystem (search by query), get_popular_mcp_servers (filter by category), and get_sperax_mcp_servers (list all Sperax servers).
Tools are scored using the SperaxOS trust algorithm based on 9 criteria: validation, tools availability, deployment, documentation, auto-deploy, license, prompts, resources, and claimed status. Scores determine grades: A (80%+), B (60-79%), F (<60%).

🤝 Integration with Lyra Ecosystem
Auto-Seeding from Lyra MCP Server
The registry can automatically import tools from a running Lyra MCP server:
# Start Lyra server
cd ../Lyra && bun run build && bun dist/cli.mjs --transport=http --port=3001
# Seed registry
cd ../lyra-registry
LYRA_MCP_URL=http://localhost:3001/mcp npm run db:seed
Discovery Pipeline (via Lyra-Intel)
The lyra-intel project can automatically discover and submit new tools:
# In lyra-intel
from lyra_intel.discovery import RegistrySubmitter
submitter = RegistrySubmitter("http://localhost:3000/api/discovery")
await submitter.submit_tool(tool, security_result)
