ShipSwift MCP Server

io.github.signerlabs/shipswift

40+ production-ready SwiftUI components and recipes for AI-native iOS app development.

What is the ShipSwift MCP server?

ShipSwift is an AI-native SwiftUI component library providing 40+ production-ready recipes for building full-stack iOS apps. It includes animation components, charts, UI elements, and multi-file frameworks (auth, camera, chat, paywall) that LLMs can use to generate real app code. Access recipes via MCP server, local skills, or direct file copy.

ShipSwift gives AI assistants like Claude and Cursor access to a curated library of SwiftUI components, animations, and full-stack recipes. Instead of generating code from scratch, your AI can fetch tested, production-ready implementations for common iOS patterns—authentication, camera capture, chat, payments, and 30+ animations. Use it via MCP server, local skills, or copy files directly into your Xcode project.

Tools & capabilities

Tools this server exposes to the agent.

  • listRecipes — List all available ShipSwift recipes across animation, chart, component, and module categories.
  • getRecipe — Fetch complete SwiftUI source code and implementation steps for a specific recipe.
  • searchRecipes — Search recipes by keyword or category to find relevant components and patterns.

Use cases

  • Build authentication flows with Cognito, social login, and phone sign-in using SWAuth module.
  • Add polished animations like shimmer, typewriter text, and scanning overlays to your UI.
  • Implement charts (line, bar, donut, radar, heatmap) with pre-built SWChart components.
  • Create a subscription paywall with StoreKit 2 integration using the SWPaywall module.
  • Build a full chat interface with message list, text input, and optional voice recognition.

ShipSwift MCP server FAQ

What is ShipSwift?

ShipSwift is a production-ready SwiftUI component library designed for AI assistants. It provides 40+ recipes—animations, charts, UI components, and full-stack modules (auth, camera, chat, paywall)—that Claude, Cursor, and other AI tools can fetch and use to generate real iOS app code.

Is ShipSwift free?

Yes. All iOS client code is open-source under the MIT license. Free recipes include component source code and implementation steps. Pro recipes add backend implementation, compliance templates, integration guides, and known pitfalls—available at shipswift.app/#pricing.

How do I install ShipSwift in Cursor or Claude?

Option 1 (recommended): Install skills via `npx skills add signerlabs/shipswift-skills`, then connect the MCP server with `claude mcp add --transport http shipswift https://api.shipswift.app/mcp`. Option 2: Install local skills with `npx skills add signerlabs/ShipSwift` (works offline). Option 3: Clone the repo and copy components directly into your Xcode project.

Do I need authentication to use ShipSwift?

No. The MCP server at https://api.shipswift.app/mcp is publicly accessible. No API key or login required.

What iOS versions does ShipSwift support?

ShipSwift requires iOS 18.0+ and Swift 5.0+.

Can I use ShipSwift components offline?

Yes. Install local skills with `npx skills add signerlabs/ShipSwift` to browse and read component source code without the MCP server. Or clone the repo and copy files directly into your Xcode project.

Quick Start

Option 1: Skills + Recipe Server (Recommended)

Step 1 — Install ShipSwift Skills:

npx skills add signerlabs/shipswift-skills

Step 2 — Connect the recipe server so your AI can fetch recipes:

# Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http shipswift https://api.shipswift.app/mcp

# Gemini CLI
gemini mcp add --transport http shipswift https://api.shipswift.app/mcp

For Cursor, VS Code Copilot, Windsurf, and other tools, see the Skills repo for MCP setup.

Step 3 — Ask your AI:

  • "Add a shimmer loading animation"
  • "Build an authentication flow with Cognito"
  • "Show me all chart components"

Option 2: Local Skills (No MCP Required)

Install skills that read source files directly from this repo — works offline, no server needed:

npx skills add signerlabs/ShipSwift

Your AI can then browse the component catalog and read source code locally. Try:

  • "Explore ShipSwift recipes"
  • "Add a shimmer animation"
  • "Build a chat feature"

Tip: If you also connect the MCP server (Option 1), your AI gets access to additional Pro recipes (backend guides, compliance templates, pitfall docs).

Option 3: File Copy

  1. Clone this repository
  2. Copy the files you need from ShipSwift/SWPackage/ into your Xcode project
  3. Each component in SWAnimation/, SWChart/, and SWComponent/ is self-contained — just copy the file and SWUtil/ if needed

Run the Showcase App

git clone https://github.com/signerlabs/ShipSwift.git
cd ShipSwift
open ShipSwift.xcodeproj

Select a simulator or device, then press Cmd+R to build and run.
