skill-lookup FAQ
It uses two MCP tools from prompts.chat: search_skills to find skills by keyword/category/tag, and get_skill to retrieve complete skill packages with all files.
Skills are installed to .claude/skills/{slug}/ directory, where {slug} is the skill's identifier. The SKILL.md file must be in the root of that directory.
Yes, search_skills accepts optional category and tag filters. For example, you can filter by category 'coding' or tag 'automation' to narrow results.
After installation, Claude will discover the skill from the .claude/skills/ directory and activate it when relevant to user requests. The skill's SKILL.md defines when it activates.
You can request up to 50 results with the limit parameter (default is 10).
