platform-custom-application-generate FAQ
Use Standard navigation (default) for general business applications with single-record focus or linear workflows. Use Console navigation only when your workflow requires managing multiple related records simultaneously in a split-view workspace, such as customer service operations or support desks.
Action overrides are critical when you have custom Lightning pages or FlexiPages for record layouts. They must be created for every custom object tab that has a record page generated by the flexipage expert.
Yes, use profileActionOverrides to create profile-specific experiences. You can reference the same or different FlexiPages than the standard actionOverrides for different user profiles.
You can customize headerColor and footerColor using hex format (e.g., '#0070D2'), and optionally override the organization theme with shouldOverrideOrgTheme.
Include multiple formFactors in your configuration: 'LARGE' for desktop, 'SMALL' for mobile, or both. You can also define mobile-optimized tab selections for phone users.
