A video frame template that renders data-driven charts (line, bar, or range band) with New York Times newsroom design conventions, including serif typography, accent colors, and entrance animations. Use this when you need publication-quality data visualization for video clips, social cards, or editorial presentations.

- 1.Provide your data as CSV, JSON, or a single-sentence conclusion extracted from the data
- 2.Specify chart type (line, bar, or range band) and choose a background (warm white #f7f5ee or dark #0e0e0e)
- 3.Select an accent color (NYT red #a91d1d, mint #5fb38a, or warm orange #d97757)
- 4.The template generates a single-file HTML with inline SVG, staggered animations, and proper source attribution
- 5.Embed or export the frame as video at 1920×1080 (16:9 aspect ratio)

frame-data-chart-nyt FAQ
No. The template uses hand-coded SVG to keep file size minimal and animations predictable. External charting libraries are not recommended unless loaded from CDN, but inline SVG is preferred.
The template can auto-generate reasonable schematic coordinates based on your conclusion. You must label the chart as 'schematic' in that case.
Yes. The staggered reveal animations (fade-in, stroke, cascading labels) automatically disable when prefers-reduced-motion is set.
Preferred: Source Serif Pro or Cheltenham for titles, IBM Plex Sans or Inter for body, IBM Plex Mono for data labels. Playfair Display is used as a fallback.
Yes. You can choose background (warm or dark), one primary ink color, one accent color from the NYT palette, and adjust kicker, title, and chart proportions within the 1920×1080 canvas.
